INFO: Bodegas Taron is a cooperative based in the northernmost part of Rioja Alta. The cooperative is made up of four small towns; Cuzcurrita de Rio Tiron, Sajazarra, Villaseca and Tirgo.
Bodegas Taron have created this soft and attractive Crianza from a blend of Tempranillo and Mazuelo from their Rioja Alta vineyards. The wine displays a bright ruby red colour with intense aromas of fresh red berries, plum and cherry. The wine has been aged in American oak barrels for 12 months, with a further 12 months in bottle age. On the palate, subtle oak and smoked notes combine with a rich earthiness, spices, chocolate, redcurrant and cherry. The wine has well structured tannins with a long balanced finish full of fresh red fruits.
