INFO: The Westcott Vineyards “Home Farm” is a 40-acre property located in the Niagara Region These soils are extremely calcareous, giving ideal conditions for the Chardonnay grape.
The grapes were hand picked and whole bunch pressed. No sulphur added at time of crushing. Barrel fermented. 100% wild yeast and partial malolactic fermentation.
The wine was barrel aged 100% French oak for 10 months. 10% new oak.
The resulting wines show beautiful intensity of tropical fruit, supported by integrated oak and toast notes. Palate is supple with lively citrus, stone fruit and cream flavours. Fresh acid balances the wine and leads to a crisp finish.
