INFO: They have been making wine at Chateau De Villeneuve since 1577. It is now run by a 4th generation winemaker who taught oenology at Bordeaux University before returning to the family estate. The vines are on chalk soils overlooking the Loire. The wines are part-barrel aged before being bottled unfined and with no filtration to produce exceptional Saumur Champigny that can be served lightly chilled.
